Im thinking about the possibility of doing an Etsy Craft Party on June 18th. That is Etsy's birthday and they are promoting it on their web site....could be fun. Now I need to brainstorm on what craft to make.......
this is an idea that i stole from betty white....who kinda copy cated the idea (is copy cated a word??? it is now!!!!) from my christmas present for her.
this is what i made for my mama and my sister (her first mother's day) for mother's day!
this one is for mama. it is my son and my nephew
this one was for my sister, my nephew! : )
so here is my plate project.
i made this for betty white for mothers day.
first i found 4 designs i liked. for this one i used a mohawk head(which turned
out to look like the statue of liberty) a muscle man arm, a baby arm, and hot legs.
I cut the designs out of the vinyl and again...strategically placed them on a china plate.
i sprayed them with spray paint.
i let them dry for a while and then peeled the vinyl off.
this is what it looked like on the wall. we spray painted a baby doll body grey and
placed it in the middle of the plates.
the end.
here are pictures of how i made a diaper wreath for a girl i work with.
i got a wreath that had some florals on it in the clearance aisle, i was able to
salvage the flowers to use in a future project.
wrap each diaper and tie it off. i got these diapers at target.
continue around and keep the diapers as close as possible.
i used a total of 16 diapers for this size wreath. i added some extra ribbon to
make this one able to hang on the wall.
i added stuff to the wreath that i had bought for the baby.
so i made mr. b some cookies a few nights ago and made suckers out of them (or whatever you call them...down here we call them suckers not lolly's or lollipops)
i used a simple sugar cookie recipe and then added m & m's
then i put sucker sticks in them
this batch was just cookies
apparently they were a success.
so this blog will not have any sarcasm in it....maybe
this is my most recent craft project. i saw an edible idea on martha stewart a while back but, me being the craft whore that i am, i always try to put my own spin on things.

here is a china plate i got for .25 cents at the thrift store.
i cut an image out of vinyl and strategically placed it onto the plate.
i decided to use gold pray paint for this one.
i sprayed the plate twice
i let it dry well and pulled the vinyl off.....viola! beautimous!
i added a coat of clear gloss to give it extra shine.
im prob gonna make this a mothers day gift to SOS!
i will be posting new pics of other plates i make. i have several different ideas for designs. :)
the end.
